Biography

Mustafa Elsayed is an assistant professor of pharmaceutics at Alexandria University and University of Hail. He also serves as a scientific advisor/consultant for several pharmaceutical companies, where he provides technical consultation to pharmaceutical and analytical development departments.
Mustafa Elsayed earned his Ph.D. (Pharmaceutics/Pharmaceutical technology) from Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany in 2011. Investigation of performance descriptors of drug delivery carriers is the is the main research interest of Dr. Elsayed. He has special expertise in development of physicochemical/analytical methods for characterization and for testing the performance of colloidal/particulate drug carriers, such as lipid vesicles, nanoparticles, nanoemulsions, and dry powder inhaler carriers. His research interests extend to physicochemical understanding of drug delivery, mainly drug delivery across skin and drug delivery to the lung.
Dr. Mustafa Elsayed is a peer reviewer for several scientific journals and is a member of the Controlled Release Society.
